Anyone else have a glitch on the placement of their Turkey Float? It seems to protrude into the street and have a gap behind it on my Island.
-
Yeah it seems the picture is off with the footprint. If you place the building e.g. on tiles (1,1)x(7,7) it looks ike you place it on (2,2)x(8,8). The buildings will nevertheless fnction properly.
-
When does the Christmas event start
-
Are you serious...?
-
No turkeys on my island. Help, please.
-
Perhaps because it's half way through December and the event was back in November...
-
Why do Cross-hairs appear when collecting income instead of XP points? What are they for?
-
In addition to XP points*
-
Not that I do not want to help you, but maybe you should look around this wiki some more, as all you have asked today is already explained multiple times on other pages.
-
Would have been easier for you to just answer the question than to beat around the bush.
-
What would have been even easier for me is if you had looked around a bit. You should understand that I am no help desk or something like that. I am just a player of the game, like you, who set up and maintains this wiki to aid other people. This wiki is in no way affiliated to the developers, so it is my own decision to help others. Or not, as I could also have chosen to disable the comments on this wiki and you would have had no option to ask any question.
So, like I said before and what is evident from my answers below, it is not that I am not willing to help you, but you are only asking questions that have been asked numerous times already. A little self-reliance would not hurt.
-
Still, you have wasted your efforts. Would have been much easier to simply answer the questions with one post rather than try to argue. I have looked through many posts on this site and have been unsuccessful in finding answers. Perhaps it should be better organized - not like a scavenger hunt.
-
It is impossible to organize it better than it is now. Mainly because people just dump their questions wherever they see fit.
-
How about a discussion area other than on each building's page? Kind of jumbled up like this.
-
I'd like to say once more that this string could have been much simpler if you would have just given a straight answer from the beginning instead of dragging it out like this and still not providing an answer.
-
"It is impossible to organize it better than it is now. Mainly because people just dump their questions wherever they see fit."
Kind of like asking a general, how does the game work type question about income collection and awards on a limited edition building page that it has absolutely nothing to do with and then whining repeatedly when no one will answer it.
Crosshairs appear when you collect income fast enough after it appears to trigger credits towards Awards 101-112. -
Also, What's the deal with the green bar at the top with the lightening bolt and 25/25??
-
How do you catch turkeys?! Do all of the resources have to be purchased with piastries?!
-
First, it's not necessary to post the same message 5 times... To catch tukeys you have to click on them then a resouce appears (or sometimes there is nothing). Can you see turkeys on your island?
-
First time that I use this forum. I can't see any turkeys except the one at the dock. Doesn't offer the option to rescue.
-
Have you got a direct road connection from you pier to the Administrative building?
-
I didn't have a direct road, but do now.
-
Where do the turkeys appear?
-
They should appear at the pier, just like normal tourists do.
-
Still no turkeys :(
-
I got the last pie I needed for this float with like 2 min left in the event., Had to spend way too much time, and way too little sleep trying to get it.
-
Has anyone found out where the lucky star is this weekend?
-
SO if this building is not purchased during the thanksgiving event, which I didn't, I can never get 100% completion? I see the other 4 buildings (which I own) in the building shop but the float is not even listed as available.
-
There's always next year.
This Float is only purchasable during the event.
Also, current commenters suggest that completing any 177 of the 186 total Awards will get you the 100% Award. It is not known if this is a bug that will be fixed later or not. -
so do I have to purchase all of the other items before I can get this? Or what?
-
I don't understand why this is so complicated for people.
You have to build the other 4 Thanksgiving Buildings as listed in the requirements above.
Then you have to pay 50 Berries + 30 Pies + 95 Apples + 40 Corns for this building.
This building is only available DURING the Thanksgiving event, the other 4 can still be bought afterwards, but € are the only way to get the resources for the purchase after the event ends. -
What's going on with never getting pies? I've been playing religiously for days and scored a total of 11. Even if I buy a bunch of piastries, it would likely be about $40 for me to do. How'd you all manage?
-
I am faring slightly better than you, but still much worse than most of the others have reported here. I am 3 days in now and holding steady at a 3.5% drop rate on pies. I would be curious to know if it is just bad luck or if they managed to lower the pie drop rate for late folks.
I did succeed in getting a turkey float in Rock the Vegas without spending piastres, but this go around for Paradise Island seems to be much more difficult to achieve.
-
Conclusion of day three, 2.5 days of bad luck.
As to how to manage, 6 hours of sleep, never let your counter hit 25, and a bit of luck. This should yield around 20 pies a day on average.
-
Well, I also got my personal Turkey Float :) I had to spend 5 piastres for the last pie. I still had 20 minutes to go but I had to go somewhere and also didn't want to risk too much. With the 10 piastres of the award, the money of the other awards and the five new buildings (still could buy LOTS of Festival Diners and Turkey Restaurants) I think this was pretty successful :)
-
Good example of not risking it and then expecting the dev to bail you out for your risk. In the end you got what you wanted and what are you out? Nothing because the 10 you received is more than the 5 you spent to get it plus you got all the buildings for free as a bonus. I don't know how some people can complain about FREE buildings. It's beyond me.
-
Now I have both the Devil's Rollercoaster and the Turkey Float. Will look nice ;)
-
Yep, me too. I also have a few extras of each of the lesser holiday buildings too.
-
i visited all my friends and only about 1 of 10 friends had turkeys. and even when i kill a turkey the "25" counter never moves it always stays at 25. Am i doing sumthing wrong. If i never slept for 6 days i still wouldnt be able to finish any of the tasks. not even 1 building.
-
I knowI it was partially my fault for waiting. I was working and by the time I got home I saw the time was almost over. However, I wasn't able to build the float so I shouldn't have had the 70 piastries taken away. Also, I can't understand why the people are gone. I am on level 34 at 75%. Everything has gone smoothly until now and it is a little frustrating
-
Partially? Who else is to blame? Do you expect the developer to call all it's users to discuss end promo strategy with them to make sure they don't miss out? Take some responsibility for your own actions and don't expect the devs to deal with your inability to manage time. Listen, it's a game. Some things aren't perfect and if you choose to invest real money into a video game then that's on you to make sure you manage your time properly so you don't miss out on something. Please don't cloud the conversations here with upset posts when you really only have yourself to blame.
-
As far as the quest people go, make sure your graphics setting is on high. They do not appear on low setting.
-
Settle down, Ostrich. He's saying he USED the 70 Piastres to build the float and didn't get them back when time ran out. At the very least, this SHOULD be fixed for him. He's not saying he wants his money back, he's saying he wants the piastres back...he used them on a float that wasn't built.
-
he used the 70 coins to buy pies, to have enough for the float. BUT he waited too long, so the time ran out.
why should that be the fault of the developers?!?
when he would had bought the piastres 5 minutes earlier and bought with that the pies 5 minutes earlier, he would have no problems.
only my 2 cents...
-
I have 30 hours left with turkey float build. I didnt cheat. I think pies are much easier to obtain than pumpkin at halow. event.
-
i agree, the vampires for the halloween event were impossible to get compared to the pies.
-
Really? See, I felt it was the opposite this time around. With the Halloween one I could go to my island and let all the monsters exit the pier and if there was a vampire I would zap him, collect the booty and then visit a friend's island. Then I would return to my island and repeat the process. No vamps? Simply visit a friend's island and return again until they show up. With this Thanksgiving one there was no way to know which of the turkeys was they 'vamp' that would give up the pie. I noticed with the Halloween one that the vamps were generally at the front or back of the pack. So if I was down to like 7 zaps on the Thanksgiving one I would zap the front four and back three and this strategy seemed to work pretty well. I think whatever the code was for the Halloween one is still the same for the Thanksgiving one but they just substituted the images for turkeys and pies. I can't wait for the Christmas one that I can assume will arrive in a few weeks!
-
Yeah I would bet a 1000 game-€ on getting a Christmas event, I would be very disappointed if it would not show up! Not that I like Christmas, but if there is one festive time in the year they should make an event for, it is Christmas by far.
-
Hopefully it's lots of red/green facilities and what not. I was quite let down by the colors selected for the Thanksgiving facilities and would have much preferred the tans, browns & oranges that are synonymous with this holiday. The Thanksgiving Day Parade especially is just awful looking. Giant eye-sore on my island now and the pastel colors really remind me nothing of Thanksgiving. Hopefully the Christmas buildings look a little bit better.
-
umm, I hope you relized that with the Halloween event all you had to do to get unlimitted vampires was to visit a friends island for less than a second then come back to your island and a new boat arrived. Out come the mixture of passengers including 1 or 2 vampires. Kill off vampires only grab the 2 pumkins and do it all over again. Leave island, visit friends island for a second, come back, new boat arrives, off step 1 or 2 vampires in with the mix of the other passengers.
-
I also found the Halloween Event much harder to complete. There you had to spend MUCH more time in-game to look for the vampires. With the Thanksgiving Event you just had to visit your island once in 75 minutes. And also the overall resource drop rate was higher this time.
-
@OstrichSaK having to wait for a vampire on your island then visiting another friends, go back to your island so it starts over again took too much time to keep doing over and over. the turkeys would drop all 4 so that made it alot more simple and easier, which is why i think more people were able to get the turkey float over the roller coaster from the halloween event imo. hopefully the chiristmas event isn't that difficult and hopefully there's some animation to the special building this time.
-
to speak in my behalf it was easier to get the pumpkins instead of the pies... it was more timeintensive, to get the pumpkins, yes, but finally it was easier to control.
at the thanksgiving event the tactic was only to look every hour and shoot down one punch of turkeys, hoping that there would be one or two pies... and nothing to increase or decrease the ratio of pies...
finally i had to spend 30€ to get the last 6 pies, at the halloween event i was done with the rollercoaster many hours before the end...
but this 20€ (30 minus 10 for the award) are not really much for a building like this.
- )
only the brutally ugly thanksgiving day parade is a trigger for eye cancer...;-)
i´m courious about the christmas special!!
- )
and i think there will be a valentine day special too, when i look at the "starting screen" there is a building that looks like a couple in love or something like that... :)
-
The start-up screen may be a real give-away concerning the new structures we may expect in the near future. My hopes are set in the Big Ben and the big glass hotel (I think) next to the Gates of India.
-
yes, there are really nice buildings shown at the start-screen.... also cool would be the beach stuff.... beach chairs or something like that...
-
To the comment about turkeys dropping all four items: this is true but it's not at an uncommon rate. From a developers standpoint it's easier to substitute pictures of zombies, vampires, pumpkins & candles for turkeys and pies rather than rewriting the algorithm that produces them. This means that while you are seeing 15 turkeys in a batch there are still vampires inside of them which dictate which turkeys give pies & corn and which give apples. There is a method to my madness which I carried over from the Halloween game and got pies with great regularity with this same approach. Others are claiming that they aren't getting hardly any pies so there must be something to my hunch. I would bust a pack of turkeys and use 15 of my zaps. I would then reload the island by going to a friend's island and returning and since I only had 10 shots now I would focus on the front five and last five of the 15 turkeys. The reason for this is that on the Halloween version the vampires were usually near the front or near the rear as they come off the pier. More often than not I would get pies from those this time so there must be something to that. I disagree that any turkey can drop any item at the same rate as any other turkey. I still think some of the turkeys are really vampires and some are zombies and I have ALL Thanksgiving structures w/o spending piastres to back up my claim.
-
We should test this with the Christmas event - if this event will come and if there will be only one kind of creature to zap.
-
I think OstrichSaK is right 2 posts above here. It's quite obvious that not all the turkeys are the same based on their movement speeds. I bet Christmas has Santas, Snowmen, Reindeer, and Elves or something so we won't be able to test this out. (Not that I have room to put 5 more giant buildings anyway...)
-
I never see turkeys on my island only on friends islands. i visited all my friends and only about 1 of 10 friends had turkeys. and even when i kill a turkey the "25" counter never moves it always stays at 25. Am i doing something wrong. If i never slept for 6 days i still wouldnt be able to finish any of the tasks. not even 1 building.
-
I waited to the last minute to purchase piastries in the hopes of getting more pies. I purchased them for $6.99 After I received them I had to buy room in the warehouse to put something so I could place my turkey float. Time was ticking away fast. As I was in the process of moving the turkey float in its place, my time ran out, I didn't get to build it, I lost 70 piastries and I didn't get the award. I tried writing to support@game-insight.com but no one has helped me. I would like the 70 piastries I purchased back since I just purchased them. Also, while playing the thanksgiving event, my visitors stopped coming and I have no people on my island. Has anyone had this problem and do they ever reappear?
-
This is exactly why I made my 'last moves' with over 5min left to avoid possible problems. I made sure my employees and power were WELL above anything I may need and I had a space cleared and was ready to go. You can't expect the developers to give you money back & give you things because you took a risk to wait until the last possible minute. That's not their fault.
-
As far as the quest people go, make sure your graphics setting is on high. They do not appear on low setting.

Officially deleted this game after 6 months of playing. It is rigged. I was one pie away from the float, and could not get any pie's to save my life in the past 14 hours. Obviously they knew this and made it so i couldn't get the last one in hopes i'd buy. I was at level 40 for about a month now, you can't go past level 40, and i knew i would never get all of the awards so it is kinda pointless.
-
So you did not want to spend €5 to get the 1 pie? But instead you just deleted the entire game?
-
There are MANY people that got the float, me included. I even had extra pies leftover. Its not rigged, you just got unlucky.
-
Actually, it was 6 piastres per pie but still seems a pretty low purchase price after investing all that time. I had to buy two because with ~5min left I was two short of the Float. I knew I had enough items to build several other Turkey facilities so I wanted to make sure I saved enough time to build those too afterward so I went ahead and bought 12 piastres to get the two pies I needed so that I wasn't chancing it. Once I got done building it and three other facilities I had less than 2min left and of course got two pies on the last batch of turkeys so in my case it seemed they were actually hooking me up at the last minute to make sure I could get it but unfortunately for me I had already decided to buy the last two to make sure I had enough time. I don't see it as a big deal really and I don't think it's rigged. I have noticed that on this as well as the Halloween promo the high ticket items (pumpkin & pie) seem to come and go in waves. In a couple hours I could get 5 or 6 and then I may not get another for several hours. afterwards. I noticed that one morning I didn't get any for several hours then that night I got tons. I can't put any quantifiable measure to it but just seems that way. Anyway, I don't think I would have deleted the whole game over this. If you're tired of it that's one thing but don't claim it's rigged when you're a lvl40 because you should have enough piastres saved up by now to buy a LOT of turkeys if you choose to.
-
It was 5 € to buy a pie, 6 € was to recharge your energy.
It actually might have been better to recharge depending on what the pie drop rate actually was.
CMONYALL said 1 in 20 roughly I think, making it slightly better than buying pies outright. -
I was killing it in the beginning too, I had the first couple buildings the first day, had all 4 built and every other requirement filled but the pies, needing about 24 to go with almost 29 hours left. I was glued the the game like a fiend to a rock, and I still ended the game 16 pieces short... so no float for me. also happened to me in the vegas game, everything else met but the last 30 pies and in the last 24+ hrs of the game I only managed to get a few pieces...
-
You're right, 5 per pie and 6 to recharge to 25 attempts. I got the numbers confused in my head.
-
definately wasnt 1 in 20 for me! I used up my 25 shots, got no pies and instead of saving the gold for possibly buying pie at the end I figured Id recharge just once and see what happens. that was no pies in about 39 shots, then when I came back into the game the next two times using about 15 shots each time, of course, NO PIES! lol
-
Just because you went 0 for 55 doesn't mean the long term average drop rate wasn't 1 in 20. As OstrichSaK mentioned in this thread already, the pies seemed to come in waves where you'd see 2 or 3 in a single batch of 15 turkeys, and then you'd have a dry spell and not see one drop for a while.
-
I know what you mean, but there is no way it was 1 in 20 overall either. the halloween event I only got one of the 4 buildings, figured it was impossible. so this time around, I (cant believe I actually did this.. rediculous...) set an alarm and every 45 minutes(even overnight) would go into the game and zap the batch of turkeys entering the island, exit the game and wait another 45 minutes to get back 15 more shots, and try again. and I still ended up being 16 pies short of the float. if I hit 15 turkeys every 45 minutes then thats 480 turkeys a day, if 1 in 20 was a pie then I should have 24 a day. to get the float I needed 95 pies. 4 days I should have 96. now of course sometimes I did go 1-2 hours before getting back to the game, which would explain me not getting the 96 necessary in 4 days, but wasnt this thing 5 days? I thought I remembered it starting out at over 100 hrs left anyways. so basically I proved to myself it takes WAY too much commitment to still not guarantee yourself success so I think if/when the christmas event comes, I wont be near as focused on trying to finish it, Ill just check on the island now and then like I did prior to the thanksgiving event.
-
I'm not sure what to tell you because I got at least one of ALL Halloween & Thanksgiving facilities. I did this by spending minimum piastres as well, mostly by accident at inopportune times for me to even take advantage of the recharge. One thing you left out was were you visiting your friend's islands? By this I mean there are monsters and turkeys that pop up on your friend's islands at the rate of what seems like about a dozen of them twice per day. I noticed at around 9:30 am & pm I could visit my friends islands and about every other two or three islands there was a vampire or turkey. I know that I probably got an extra 10-20 pumpkins/pies just from this. Other than that I'm not sure what else to tell you. I also woke up (never set an alarm) several times throughout the night and zapped some turkeys but my method was slightly different than yours. I never zapped individual turkeys on my own island, only entire groups of turkeys and once they were gone I left for a half hour or so to charge up enough (15) to zap an entire group once again. Maybe that makes a difference too but I can't say for sure because I don't know. I think it was 120hrs from the start or so and I got them so I don't understand how some say it's not possible when I know first hand it for a fact is.
-
Ugh. I put down the float right before the end of the event. It's still building. I hope I can still get the award when it's done. Four different times I accidentally spent 6 piastres to recharge my zapper when I didn't mean to - I was actually trying to repair a building that a turkey walked in front of and clicked restore thinking I was clicking fix (being too spacey). The last time I did this was after I had placed down the turkey float - so annoying! I wonder if there will be an Xmas event. I hope not...at least not if there is going to be an award based on it.
-
The award should complete when the float finishes construction.
-
I missed the Halloween event, and was very glad to take part in the Turkey event. I really like the events, but do have to admit, they are definitley somewhat time consuming. But the buildings you get are well worth it IMO. As long as they only do it once every few months on average, im all for it and enjoy it!
-
Mine did. Got the award once it finished construction the next day. I'm sure you probably have already experienced this but thought I would post back for others reading this.
-
Thanks for the confirmation - still waiting (13 more hours)!
I do like the holiday events but I don't like how the Thanksgiving event messed with the whole awards structure. makes me wonder how the game looks to someone downloading it for the first time today.
-
The game looks the same as it did when you downloaded it, or when I did, or anyone else. The time window required to complete the 100% Award without buying € has always been over 1 year.
-
I also dislike how it changes the % of the award structure because it takes longer to hit the milestones (50%, 75% etc) but I guess the trade off is we get extra bonuses from the new awards. I know several times recently I was at 72% or 73% and then new awards are added that put me back in the upper 60% range. Kind of frustrating when I'm so close. Oh well, I'm in the 80% range now so I'm well past that but it's got to be frustrating for those who are nearing the milestones because I know it was for me.
-
Just an FYI.... People that are saying this is impossible to get, here is everything i got during the event..... 2 Festive Diner 3 Turkey Restaurant 1 Holiday Hotel 1 Thanksgiving Parade 1 Turkey Float 415 apples leftover 118 berry leftover 13 corn leftover 18 pies leftover
And the best building by far, as far as money per tile, is the Holiday Hotel. I was originally going to go for 3 of these, then as may Turkey Restaurants as i could get. But the lure of the 10 golden coins that come with the award forced me to get 1 of each of the buildings for the award, then i tried like heck to get more pies for more holiday hotels, but couldnt so settled for max Turkey Restaurants (which are still really, really good) and then Festive Diners (just a notch below Restaurant).
But the Holiday Hotel was the elite building in this event, which i unfortunately only got 1 of because of the award/10 gold coins.
-
damn...don´t looks good for me... only 34 hours (-8h sleep) left to catch 33 pieces of pie...
- -(
it began really good but in the last 2 days the ratio of pies decrease and decrease...
thereby the turkey float is the only building of all 5 that looks halfway decent...
-
how the f*** i get thouse materials?
-
By tapping the turkeys.
-
i dont see any turkeys...
-
Have you updated the game to v1.1.20? Have you got a road from the pier to your Administrative building?
-
already got the 4 buildings and just built the float (used no piastres). gotta say it looks pretty cool, much better then the Halloween roller coaster. have 12 hours to go, only have 1 pie left so might be able to build another restaurant or parade if i get lucky but i'll admit getting the 90 total pies to build everything + the float took a lot of time.
-
i have my Turkey float with NO PIASTRES. Using my around 20-25 bolts by patiently entering the game per 1 hour, sleep 5 hours at night and 1 hour at daytime, miss a couple of hours while in the church and a party, and finished at 118hr time lapse (2hours before it ends) Am I just lucky or what? I prefer to capture the mid-Turkey, the fastest and the slowest Turkey i find it rare to drop pies. The mid Turkey usually the one who often to do a quick turn usually drop a pie. Just relax and be patient. When I didnt hav a single pies in 25 bolts, sometimes I restart my phone, I know may be it was only an accident or I'm just lucky! :)
-
can i keep the 4 building after bought turkey float?
-
Yes. You keep all the buildings.

-
I AM GETTING RIPPED
I left the game for 40 mins, and i came back and my turkey zapper had only gone up by 3!!! They make it impossible to finish this
-
y its hard
-
I THINK (and i cant confirm this) that because i didnt close the game properly (i.e. just minimised it) the turkey zapper was not regenerating.... I have since closed the game (using the exit button) and next time i played, the zapper was reloading as it should be......
